As you probably already know, disc partitions in ext2 and ext3 formats, typical of the Linux operating system, are invisible to the Microsoft Windows operating system. This was a real hassle for those who have both operating systems installed on their PC's.
With Ext2 IFS this is no longer a problem, as it lets you read these file systems directly from Windows, as if they were an NTFS partition, and it does so for free.
How it works is actually very simple. All you have to do is carry out the step by step installation following its assistant and in seconds you'll have prepared your system to read Linux partitions.
The way in which you'll access them is the same way in which you access your Windows partitions, thus letting you carry out all the same operations.
This makes Ext2 IFS an essential application for those who have both operating systems on their PC's.
